Guide to Get Started: FBI Electronic Departmental Order

This friendly guide helps you begin your online process for obtaining an FBI Criminal History Report (EDO) through our Live Scan services. Whether you’re a returning user or new to the process, the guide walks you through registering or signing in, and completing each step of the online application to obtain a FBI fingerprint background check.

3. Enter your email address and password for returning users. For new users, click on the Register Option

4. Complete each step of the online application and hit the NEXT button to move on to each subsequent step.

5. After you complete all of the steps for your order, take the QR Code form to your selected service center for the Live Scan Appointment!

*To cancel an appointment or reschedule an appointment: please log in to your account and click on 'Transaction History' in on the upper ribbon. Then scroll down to 'Action' or 'Appointment' dependent on the desired action for your fingerprint Live Scan appointment.
