Live Scan App Will Not Start

If problems persist, the article walks you through using the Windows Services tool to check that essential services are running, and how to start or restart them—especially the "B4ALLData" service—to help the app launch successfully.
# These steps can be taken in the case where the live scan application fails to start up
1. If the live scan app fails to start, you will most often see the error below occur shortly after attempting to start the LS4G application

2. When this happens, we would advise trying to restart the computer if there is time, or as an alternative then wait a minute or two once it powers on before you attempt to start the live scan app you could alternatively try the steps below from step 3 as well

3. Usually, a search bar may be visible in the lower left-hand side of the screen. This could be clicked or could be brought up by pressing the hotkey (⊞ Win + S).

4. Search for the word "Services", and an application should appear titled Services or Local Services. Click on this, or click the open button beneath it on the right to open this

5. Find the rows with the names below, and check to make sure each one has the words "Running" to the right

6. If one of these does not have the word running preset, you could right click the row, then click "Start" to enable this

7. You can then try to open the Live Scan 4g App, if it still comes up with an error, you can then try "Restarting" the services.
8. Open up the Services Application again and find/highlight "B4ALLData". From there, click on "Restart" on the left side or Right-Click "B4ALLData" and then click "Restart".

9. A Pop-Up will show asking if you would like to restart other services as well, you will want to click "Yes".

10. After all these services have restarted, then try opening the Live Scan 4g App again.
