Troubleshooting Offline Device
If your Live Scan app isn’t connecting, don’t worry! This friendly guide helps you quickly check your internet connection. First, exit or minimize the Live Scan app to reach your desktop. Then, click the network icon to see if you’re online, or open a browser to test your connection. If you use Ethernet, ensure the cable is securely plugged in. These simple steps should help you get back online in no time.
# Follow the steps below to check if the system is offline
1. Exit out of the live scan application if it is open to get to the windows desktop. If the live scan app is already open, you could minimize the application by pressing the hotkey "⊞ Win + M" which will close any open applications
You could also close it by logging out of your live scan app account by clicking "Menu" in the top right and logout, then click the red power button in the center by the words "User Login" to close the app
2. Click the network connection symbol in the lower right for the Wi-Fi or ethernet

3. After clicking this, check if it says the device has an internet connection, and is connected to the network you want. You can also open a web browser (Ex: MS Edge) and search for any website to test the connection
If your device should be connected to ethernet by an ethernet cable but there is no connection, make sure the ethernet cable plugged in is firmly connected, or try removing, and reconnecting the cable
